OK--so here's the situation.
I went to WAGS to get me some free shampoo. Of course--the one that the coupon was for was out. Bummer right? So, I'm lamenting my loss to the employee stocking the shelves and ask if they have any in the totes (they did not) So *she* volunteers to try the coupon on another L'oreal shampoo to see if it works. Is that a no-no? (Again--the employee said this NOT me)

I'd say no, but that's me. The coupon is not valid legally if it's not used on the item it says it's for... even IF the register accepts it.
