I went to Walgreens and purchased the Natural Dentist Mouthwash that is on sale for 2/9.99. I had 2 $5.00 coupons. The manager on duty would only honor one. The coupon states I can use 1 per purchase. I asked if she could bump one coupon to $4.99 to see if it would get the machine to take and she said that doing that could cause them to lose their coupon liscence (sp?). When the register rings it up it rings one at $9.99 and the other at 0. I asked if I could ring seperate ( like $5.00 each) and it was a no go. A couple of months ago I had $1.00 coupons for band-aids. They were on sale for .99 cents. I bought 4 with 4 coupons and they would only accept 3 of the coupons. Am I doing something wrong? Should I email Wags? I just want some feedback on how to handle the situation. Has anyone been in this situation? Is anyone familiar with their policy? Any help could be greatly appreciated

My store won't take coupons that would put them owing me money. So in your bandaid scenario if you had added .04c of anything to your cart, the last coupon should have gone through. But because your total by then would have been .96 c (+ tax) you didn't have a dollar they could take off. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will be emailing Wags. In both circumstances I was well over the coupon amount. They would not have been giving any money back.
