not dishonest, rude. If there were 20 packages of diapers, I would probably take 10. BUT if there were 3 razors, I'd take them all. It just depends on how the shelves look. And no one can really blame us for clearing the shelves, most of that is done on sunday.

I agree, "not dishonest, rude" If there are tons there and you clean out the shelves I think that is just wrong. If there is one transaction worth (for example, 6 olay body wash) and you clear out the shelves I think that is another story. I see nothing wrong with doing one or two transactions as long as you leave some for someone else. If there are only 2 transactions worth, only do one and come back on delivery day to do the other one or hit another store. There are lots of people trying to get good deals and I think it is rude to hog them all to yourself.

This is my "rule":
do NOT clean out if: It is the beginning of the week There is a lot there
Okay to clean out if: You're buying using a raincheck (the advertised sale is over) There is just enough to do your transaction. It's the last day of the sale. It's a clearanced item.

Not dishonest. A bit inconsiderate? Yes. I've been on the end of getting to the store and having the shelves totally empty and it is definitely frustrating. But I also know that sometimes that happens. I really like Bethany's "rule." That seems kosher to me. I also agree with mamateresa.

I 'cleared the shelves' today of the olay body wash - but there were only 5 left! Oh well...I do make up my 'coupon karma' by putting coupons on products that I know I'm not going to use, so hopefully the coupon gods will not get me!

See, and with that I don't see a problem! So there were five left... enough for you to do a transaction or two. Now if there had been like 20 and you took all 20... that's when people get a bit peeved.
But I also don't have a problem of you going back when they're restocked and doing another transaction. Or going to another store to do the deal again.

See--here's *my* take--I go shopping with Kellie and another friend of hers a LOT! So there are three of us--do we "clear them out"? yes--because there are THREE of us trying to get our deals. If there aren't enough for all three of us--we take turns because we do go to different stores. If I am by myself, it's the middle of the week (or even the end) I will buy whatever I have coupons for. But I DO think it's horrible when people go the first day of the sale and buy carts full of everything. At that point it's beyond stocking up on what you use.
