I'm clipping lots of coupons but now sure how to organize them. If you fellow couponers don't mind sharing your methods and what works for you, it'd be much appreciated!

I keep mine sorted by insert date (when it was in the paper). I buy four papers every week (one for each family member). When they get to be four months old, I take out the pages with Qs that haven't expired yet and toss the rest. I look up coupons in online databases when items go on sale and it makes it easy to find the right Qs. The only ones I will clip in advance are Qs for things we constantly use, in case it doesn't go on sale before they expire. Those (and extra Qs) go into a long photo holder I got from Tupperware, sorted by categories. I think I have a pic somewhere...

I use the binder system. I clip every coupon and file it in a binder in baseball card holders. When I get ready to shop I pull all the ones I need and put them in an accordian file sorted by store.

I've been thinking about doing the binder system. How do you have it organized? Do you have one type of coupon in each holder or combine. Example: do you have all toothpaste in one holder or one holder has Crest and another holder has Colgate? etc...

I organize mine into categories: Grocery Baby Personal Items Meds/Vitamins/First Aid Cleaning Supplies Air Fresheners Misc.
And then I have sub categories in each section.
Everything in the same brand goes in the same pocket.
